Q&A with Stani Goma of PBS FM, Melbourne

We are gradually coming out of the gallows of COVID-19 and what better way to celebrate the ease on lockdown than to watch a documentary together :)

Stani Goma

This month, we bring you Africa on Air, a documentary highlighting Stani Goma’s work on PBS FM. Stani is the presenter and producer of Flight 1067 to Africa — a radio show that makes a timeless journey into the world of traditional and contemporary African music every Sunday at 3:00pm to 5:00pm (AEST).

Africa on Air uses Stani’s unique perspective to understand where African culture in Melbourne has come from and where it is headed. It allows the viewer to peer into the lives of the listeners; introducing a range of characters whose rationales for listening to the show frame some of the broader issues surrounding African identity in Melbourne.

We will watch the 38 minutes documentary together, followed by a Q&A with Stani — the star of the documentary and the Director and Producer, Tom Lowe of Polygraph Productions.
